I totally agree with the importance of a fire escape plan that includes pets. One thing I’ve done is to keep leashes and carriers near exits so I can quickly secure my pets in an emergency. Also, I’ve labeled my windows with stickers indicating there are pets inside, which I’ve heard can help firefighters. Does anyone know if insurance companies offer discounts for having such safety measures in place?
